Local music legend Tez Locke has been writing and performing songs since the 1970’s, playing in bands such as Springheel Jack and Smart Alec. Over the years he has focused his attention on solo songwriting with a vast number of compositions at his disposal.
A skilled guitarist and lyric writer, Tez effortlessly swerves from Rock to Folk to Blues to Country and, in 2017, he signed a deal with London based Copper Brown Records to release his song “Howling At The Moon” in February this year. Described by one music journalist as “Tom Petty, Dave Edmunds, Status Quo, Iggy Pop and Johnny Cash all rolled into one man!”, we’re delighted to have Tez joining us on stage at this year’s festival.
